Lauren Hess

Therapeutic Optometrist

Lauren is passionate about providing full scope optometry to the whole family, with particular interest in ocular pathology including dry eye, children’s vision, orthokeratology and myopia control. She believes patient education and good communication is imperative to comprehensive and individualised patient care.

Lauren is a local, having grown up in Pittsworth, attended highschool in Toowoomba before then moving to Brisbane to commence her optometry studies. She graduated with First Class Honours in 2011, and completed her Ocular Therapeutics training while working full time in 2016. Lauren spent the first 8 years of her career working with industry leaders in specialty optometry and ophthalmology practices in Brisbane before moving back to the Darling Downs in 2019. She proudly calls Toowoomba home.

Lauren loves to bake and cook, read a good book, wander the weekend markets, drink hot tea and spend most of her time with her husband and their adorable little girl, Lacey.
